Project Goal:
For this project I needed to create a Logo, Business card, Packaging design, and an advertisement poster for the water bottle brand Tempres. Tempres produce temperature resistant, eco-friendly thermo bottles. The main goal was to showcase that these thermo bottles are temperature resistant, as it’s their key selling point. Another requirement was to showcase that their bottles have bright modern designs & colors.
I also had to use brand’s main color: Coral (#F26D63), but was allowed to add extra colors if needed.
Brainstorming:
Although the brand’s goals and requirements were understood, I needed to do further research anyway, to understand the brand’s target audience, analyze competitors and latest trends in the market.
From the extensive research, I got the following information: Tempres’ demographics varies from 25 to 20 years old. These are young adults who have an active lifestyle and value products that are functional, convenient, and stylish.
Logo Design:
Once the research was completed and I gathered enough information, I started the logo design. Since the main goal was to showcase that Tempres bottles are temperature resistant, I experimented with various colors and symbols that associate with hot & cold temperatures.
First rough drafts:
For the final logo I combined versions 3 & 5 and drew a blue snowflake blended with orange fire (using Photoshop’s vector tools). Blue & Orange colors complement each other and work well together. To utilize the brand's main coral color, I made the brand’s name Tempres in coral. To complement it, I painted the small elements in green (such as a circle around the main icon).
These 4 colors (Blue & Orange, Coral & Green) formed a Tetrad color scheme (four-color palette of two complementary pairs).
By adding more colors, I made the design correspond with the brand’s bright style:
The color combination used in the logo offers a balanced mix of associations with energy, reliability, and eco-friendliness. This resonates well with demographic’s values, helping Tempres stand out across their competitors.
Business Card Design:
Once the logo was completed, I proceeded with the business card design. The main goal was to include all the necessary information, but make it readable, keeping in mind the size of the card. To achieve that, I made sure that my working space in photoshop has the appropriate size & format, by adding guides, margins and bleed areas:
Another requirement was to distinguish the company info from the employee info. I achieved that by using different colors for these 2 areas:
Tempres wanted to have all their information on the front side. So for the back side, I just added a logo and radial gradient using the brand's main color, coral.

Packaging Design:
While designing the packaging for Tempres, I needed to focus on being consistent with the brand's colors, draw attention to the brand’s key selling points and make it visually pleasing, to draw an eye of the potential customers.
In order to sell product in a retail store, it is also required to include such information, as: barcode, company address & info, SKU number, weight of the product, and the disclaimers associated with the particular type of product (such as food safe, microwave safe, etc.)
I also made sure the sizing of the box is correct and created the corresponding artboards in Photoshop.
I focused on creating a minimalistic but informative design.
- Front side of the box has an illustration of how the bottle looks, and also shows its capacity.
- At the right side of the box, I included Tempres’ key selling points and at the left side their slogan.
- Then I added another bee & honeycombs illustration, to separate the text sections and make the label visually appealing.
- The top side only has the logo, and the back side is more informative, including QR code which leads to their website.
- The bottom part of the box includes all the necessary information for the retail stores. Since this information is not needed for the customers, I decided to place it in the bottom, so it doesn’t interfere with the minimalistic design.

Keeping Everything Organized:
In each of the steps, I made sure to organize all the layers, so that my design files will make sense to other designers if needed. I kept the names clear and organized everything by folders.
Final Deliverables:
After the design was created, the project was ready to be delivered. Before submitting the final version of the design, I made sure that the files and Illustrator layers are clean and easy to understand. I also made sure that the exported file matched the original size of the label and that the color profile was appropriate for print (CMYK).
Summary:
The goal of the project was to redesign a honey label, while keeping the original text and info unchanged. The project was completed successfully.
